Sessions' 'round the corner' labeller was developed in answer to the requirements of Companies who ship their products to customers on pallets.

Many large supermarkets who have deliveries arriving daily needed to have the information shown on cartons visible to warehouse staff from two sides.

Sessions answer was to incorporate their labelling head into a stand alone end of line system which could either 'print and apply' or 'apply only' pre-printed labels around the corner of outer cases.

The system comprises of a label applicator, or more commonly a printer applicator, which is side mounted to a robust dedicated conveyor typically fed from an upstream conveyor after the case sealer. The machine comes in two formats one for applying the label to the front/side corner or to the rear/back corner of the carton.

The label for the rear application, the label is applied to the carton side and immediately dressed down the rear carton face with a pneumatically powered roller.

The front/side application is achieved with a sprung beak assembly which applies the front face label and continues across and down the side completing the application.

Using this machine labels of up to 360mm can be applied providing easily visible information at a glance during pallet handling.
