Scratch & Sniff

Allowing the consumer to experience the fragrance of your product without having to open the pack. Many standard fragrances are available, together with bespoke makings should you have a specific fragrance requirement.

Scratch Off Inks

For gaming and promotional cards and labels, the special scratch off opaque ink can be printed onto any style of label or card. Scratching off the panel with a coin or finger nail or other hard object will remove the coating revealing a message or graphic printed below.

Thermochromic or "Colortemp" Ink

The heat sensitive ink changes from its initial colour to a transparent appearance when its target temperature is reached or exceeded. Available in two formats, reversible (or two-way change) or irreversible (or one-way change).
Our reversible Colortemp inks are currently available in a range of 11 colours across a range of target temperatures from -25ºC to +60ºC. Widely used for promotions in the food and drinks industry these labels give an indication that a drink or food is at or below a certain temperature, typically +5ºC for cold drinks and refrigerated foods. 25ºC is typically used for touch 'n' reveal promotions where a customer reveals a message by handling the product.

Dri-Card / Dri-Peel

The special label or card construction incorporating a dry adhesive system, allows your customer to peel off a label for later redemption or an information card to keep. The self-adhesive base of the construction allows the cards to be applied automatically to your products or documentation, then the dry, non-tacky formulation allows label or card to be cleanly removed for later use.

Piggyback and Kangaroo Labels

For use where information needs to transfer from one product to another in a convenient self-adhesive label format, Sessions of York can provide a range of solutions to meet your requirements.
Piggyback labels comprise of 2-layers of self-adhesive material. The construction can be applied to a pack and then the top layer can be removed at a later date. Probably the most common use is by courier companies for addressing packages.
Sessions Kangaroo Label are on the same theme but utilise standard single layer materials of any type. The removable section is created by cutting the backing paper in synchronisation with the front label to create a section of retained backing for the pull off label. Again widely used in the courier address label market.
