A new range of labelling machines - designed to apply Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) security tags to virtually any type of retail goods - has been launched by Sessions of York. Complementing the company's range of security tags, the Tagmaster Range is designed for high-speed, automatic application of EAS tags, which are increasingly being used to counter theft. While many types of standard security tags cannot be effectively attached to certain types of products, Sessions' specially converted security tags, which incorporate Acoustomagnetic (AM), Electromagnetic (EM) or Radio Frequency (RF) alarm devices, can now be supplied integrated into widely used self adhesive labels. In addition, the Tagmaster machines can be custom-built to solve virtually any retail security-labelling problem. Product shrinkage is a major concern in the retail industry and is increasing. In fact, to help solve the problem of theft and pilferage from point-of-sale, rapidly growing numbers of major retail and supermarket chains are specifying source tagging of goods by suppliers. To help suppliers meet this requirement, Sessions' new Tagmaster labellers are capable of easy and quick application of informational or decorative security labels to a diverse number of products. The variety of pack formats that can be protected in this way includes oval, rectangular and cylindrical containers, shrink-wrapped trays and even an extensive range of unwrapped items of varying shapes and sizes. These include openly displayed items such as drinks, books, videocassettes, CDs, batteries, clothing, giftware and accessories. The Sessions EAS security labels can be produced either plain for overprinting or pre-printed in a variety of colours. A wide range of high-grade material specifications is available and the tags can be custom designed to suit individual needs. |
