SESSIONS EXTENDS HIGH SPEED PRINT & APPLY LABELLING SYSTEMS WITH LIGHT TOUCH MODEL

New SPA924 applicator avoids risk of damage to fragile products and packaging

A new, specially-developed 'light touch' applicator has been launched by Sessions of York to handle fragile items where the use of conventional labelling systems risks damaging the product or causing unsightly pack distortion. Incorporating a 64 bit CPU, the system features advanced auto detection that senses the product height and gently but securely applies the label to stationary or moving products.

Designed to interface with the company's well-proven SPA924 Print & Apply labelling systems, the new unit offers a 400 mm/second print speed iii multiple print widths of 160 mm. 19 fonts and all common bar codes are available, plus a compact flash card will store additional fonts and logos.

Sessions' LTP8O 'kiss' labelling applicator, operating at up to 100 strokes per minute in any apply position or attitude, will handle labels up to 80-mm square with a maximum stroke length of 200 mm. The SPA924 unit is a one-to-one labelling system designed for use in a wide variety of applications. This multi-tasking labeller builds the following print job while the current label is in the process of being printed. In addition, to minimise downtime, the SPA924 is able to run continuously without stopping between print jobs.
