SESSIONS EXCLUSIVE PRODUCT HANDLING SYSTEM SOLVES SYRINGE LABELLING PROBLEM

RC30 walking beam concept allows emergency army self-inject kits to be labelled securely

The unrivalled labelling and product handling skills of Sessions of York have successfully solved a problem for an Israeli pharmaceutical company when it faced the need to label long and unstable syringes. The shape and size of the automatic, self-injection syringes, used by the Israeli army as part of its emergency field dressing kits, proved unsuitable for conventional labelling systems. The company turned to the unique walking beam concept incorporated in the Sessions RC30 unit and this proved ideally suited for applying the self-adhesive wraparound, instructions labels.

This exclusive product handling system sorts individual syringes from a hopper and transports them under full control to the labelling station for precision labelling and auto ejection to a packing station. The widely-used RC30 has been continually developed by Sessions over the years and the latest model features PLC control and a full diagnostic system to ensure trouble-free operation and maximum product integrity.

The RC30 has been sold by Sessions throughout the world and, because of its tremendous versatility, it is used to label a wide range of small cylindrical products. Apart from the latest Israeli army syringes, other applications include pharmaceutical containers, crayons, pencils and batteries.

In addition to supplying labelling systems, Sessions is a major international force in the production of self-adhesive labels.
