Leading labelling machine manufacturer, Sessions of York, has picked up an order through its website from Medicina Laboratorial, a Portuguese blood analysis company. Sessions has supplied an RC30 labeller with a Sessions Ocelot printer attached for labelling a range of small vials used in the company's blood analysis department. Medicina Laboratorial had been searching the Internet looking for a labelling machine manufacturer when it came across Sessions' website. It searched the site and found information on the popular RC30 and realised it was exactly what they were looking for. The company e-mailed Sessions and had the entire machine specifications and photos within the day. After studying the information provided, Medicina inquired whether a thermal transfer printer could be interfaced with the RC30. After confirmation that Sessions could not only do this, but provide the printer too, an official order was received - only four days after the first contact between the companies. The Ocelot printer is automatically triggered as the labels are fed through the machine, providing a constant supply of labels with a high quality print, at the point of application to the vials. The complete Sessions set-up allows labelling speeds of 80/90 vials per minute. The versatile RC30 unit is one of Sessions family of automatic labellers designed to apply self-adhesive labels to small round products. These extend from ampoules, vials and test tubes through to pencils, batteries and disposable syringes. Engineered with a walking beam conveyor system, the machine is particularly suitable for labelling fragile products. In addition, a wide variety of printing options are available for incorporation into Sessions' entire RC Series range. |
