WEST INDIAN PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY GOES FOR SESSIONS THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTER

Sessions of York clocks-up another export success with order from Barbados-based Carlisle Laboratories

Reflecting its recent ’Exporter of the Year’ award, Sessions of York continues to build its overseas sales with one recent order winging its way from the West Indies. Local pharmaceutical manufacturer, Carlisle Laboratories, has selected a Sessions thermal transfer unit to overprint vital variable information on product packaging at its St Michael plant in Barbados. The company has installed a 64-04 model, which is a four-inch version of the Sessions 64-bit printer range.

Acknowledged for its reliability, the Sessions 64-04 reel-to-reel thermal printer operates at up to 20 times faster than competitive products. Precision printing bar codes, tags or production labels, a near edge print head achieves 300 dpi to produces high-resolution results consistently. Designed to minimise ribbon usage, the easy-to-use system protects against errors made at the input stage.

Engineered for maximum durability, the 64-04 is ideal for trouble-free use in hostile environments.
A compact design allows the unit to be moved around easily and used where space is at a premium. A comprehensive font and bar code library complements the 64-bit processor. Enlargement, two-dimensional presentation and an ability to rotate the scalable fonts are among the key features.
