Speed and precision of a Sequence 300/4 labelling machine has led to improved quality and increased throughput for contract aerosol manufacturer Aztec Aerosols. The self-adhesive labelling system replaces manual labelling and is being used to apply front back and wraparound labels to a wide variety of rectangular and circular containers and trigger sprays. The remarkable versatility and many unique features of the Sequence enable it to handle an array of container shapes and sizes quickly and efficiently. Spokesperson for Aztec Aerosols comments: “We chose the Sequence labeller because it fulfilled our requirements perfectly. Aztec required a very specific and versatile unit. This is because we needed to apply front and back labels to 12 different products in 12 different sizes of rectangular containers and trigger sprays, as well as wraparound labels to 15 different size circular containers. I had encountered Sessions and its products previously and was aware of the Sequence’s reputation for its ease of use, accuracy and speed.” Key features of the Sequence include
robust design and versatility, but for Aztec the crucial offering is
the machine’s outstanding
versatility. The spokesperson continues: “Quality standards are
much easier to maintain using the Sequence than labelling by hand, plus
less product handling means increased throughput and better utilisation
of employees - as they are now involved on a different production line. Sessions also supply the company with multi-coloured Vitopan front and back labels. Printed with a combination of fine graduating vignettes and solid colour print in close register, the primecoat provides a functional, high quality and attractive appearance when applied to the container. The Sequence labelling heads, ancillary motors and drives are speed synchronised enabling the primary conveyor to be adjusted with one simple control. Independent control of each twin head and their labelling positions ensures precision on every Aztec container. These easy to operate control settings ensure that a product or label change is fuss free and downtime is kept to a minimum. Additionally, modular design enables the Sequence to be host to optional extras such as hot foil coding, in and out turntables and worm spacing. |
