Sessions exports continue to grow with Johnson & Johnson using Spectrum labeller for pharmaceutical cartons
The Dominican Republic
is one of a rapidly growing number of export markets to install labelling
equipment supplied
by Sessions of York. Three customised Spectrum
units, supplied through Sessions North American agent, Abacus, form
part of systems operated by Johnson & Johnson for labelling pharmaceutical
cartons. Incorporating a dedicated conveyor system, the equipment
provides maximum flexibility by operating inline or as stand-alone
units. Each
machine features a top mounted 115 mm Spectrum labelling unit.
The Spectrum is one of the most versatile and cost-effective labelling systems available. It offers two deck sizes, 115 mm and 195 mm, and is easily interfaced with hot foil coding. A touch sensitive control panel ensures ease of use with label position and applicator speed adjusted without any need to move sensors. The control panel can be mounted remotely to allow the Spectrum to be built into multi-application systems. The Spectrum advanced electronics will support non-stop ‘partner’ labelling with alternate machine operation allowing reel replacement without expensive down time. Running speeds vary from one to 50 metres per minute with an encoder link facility intrinsic in the control circuitry. Despite being big on performance, the Spectrum has a small footprint allowing easy installation in existing production and packaging lines. |
