Continuing to push the boundaries of self-adhesive label printing and application, Sessions of York has launched the latest addition to its range of Multi-Task Thermal Transfer Printers – the RCP64. Specifically developed to print and also apply labels to round containers from wine bottles to the smallest phials, the RCP64 is an exceptionally accurate, versatile and user-friendly machine and being semi automatic is ideal for low to medium volume producers.

The RCP64 offers consistently high quality near edge thermal transfer print at a resolution of 300dpi and includes an innovative automatic foil save function which ensures the thermal ribbon is used only for the print length and not the full label. This makes the RCP64 an extremely cost-effective labelling solution by minimising the ribbon wastage normally associated with conventional thermal transfer printers.

Another key feature of the RCP64 is the addition of a unique powered bottle jig facility which offers quick and easy changeover for short and medium labelling runs across a range of different container sizes. Fast changeovers
are also aided by combining printing, rewinding and applying into one simple operation.

The new thermal transfer printer applicator is specifically designed to be user friendly with product changes carried out quickly and easily using any Windows-based software. Text change is instantaneous and the printer incorporates 17 inherent fonts as well as the most commonly used barcodes.

With the cost-effective foil save function and the powered bottle jig facility providing quick changeover, the advanced RCP64 is ideal for a wide range of applications where short and medium label runs are required for limited or more specialised products. The printer is also capable of printing variable information which makes it perfect for pharmaceutical purposes.
