Rapidly increasing demands for labels featuring sequential numbering is a trend being reported by Sessions of York. The market sectors involved include pharmaceutical for security, product count and batch control; chemical for quality control tracking plus a whole host of other areas where it provides major security and anti-counterfeit benefits for items such as money-offer vouchers, dividend stamps and promotional coupons. Apart from incorporating sequential numbering on its large-scale label production, Sessions operates its own in-house Label Bureau. This specialised facility includes a service where it overprints pre-printed and plain labels with sequential numbering as well as variable copy, EAN barcodes and Pharma and data matrix codes. A multi-head ink jet unit handles large volume demands. The Bureau is able to overprint reel-fed labels in self-adhesive, non-adhesed and wet glue label formats. In addition to printing consecutive numbering and variable information on the label face, Sessions is also seeing growing demand for consecutive number printing on the label backing. |
