SESSIONS’ “LITTLE AND LARGE” DOUBLE ACT SOLVES A STICKY PROBLEM

Sessions of York can produce a variety of multi-layer label sizes

Multi-layer label supplier, Sessions of York is showing that size does matter with its flexible array of the smallest and largest multi-layer labels the company has ever produced.

Sessions’ inventive combination of tri-layer film, adhesive and easy peel coating allow for multiple full-colour pages to be printed for on-pack informational and promotional applications in a large scope of sizes. Their bespoke label design and machinery can fulfil the most diverse and complex business needs.

Recently, a sports drinks manufacturer required Sessions to produce a large multi-layer label to highlight its product with all essential ingredient elements, whilst still providing a label with the brand power to sell. The large complex multi-layer label, measuring 135mm deep by 415mm wide, required four-colour process printing and spot colours to achieve the required effect. The end result was a three-page multi-layer label from Sessions that allowed the company to include all required foreign copy on the product, highlight its extensive ingredients list as well as promoting its range of other goods.

A spokesperson for the sports drink manufacturer said: “The multi-layer label that Sessions created especially for us offered us ample space for not only essential product information, but also room to include advertising material.”

In stark contrast, the smallest multi-layer label ever produced by Sessions, measuring just 12mm in diameter, for use on small cosmetic product, presented another challenge duly accepted by the company.

What’s more, an added directive stated that the label had to be produced for overprinting by the client for a batch code and use by data. Ensuring the top layer of the multi-layer label was receptive to the client’s overprinting methods, Sessions presented its product.

At the other end of the label-making scale, Sessions are able to produce extremely small multi-layer labels that are of particular use on small cosmetic products, but can be tailored to suit a diverse range of business uses.

Sessions have produced labels of a small size (12mm diameter), with three levels in almost perfect register and the top level receptive to overprinting by the customer. The complexity of producing labels such as these demonstrate Sessions of York’s flexibility of service no matter what the size or brief.

The company supplies multi-layer labels adaptable to virtually any shape or size in sheets or on the reel for semi or fully automatic placement onto a wide range of products. The complexity of producing labels such as these demonstrate Sessions of York’s flexibility of service no matter what the size or brief.

Sessions of York is acknowledged to be one of the UK’s leading and most progressive manufacturers of self-adhesive labels and labelling equipment.
