of York enables patterns
Continually striving to meet steadily increasing demand for innovative labelling solutions, Sessions of York has developed GlueZone. Made possible after major investment in hot melt screen adhesive equipment, GlueZone allows patterns of adhesive to be coated onto labels to suit customer's individual applications. Traditionally, self-adhesive labels are produced by printing on paper or film already coated with adhesive over the entire label area. Not all applications require 100% adhesive coverage. Sometimes a smaller adhesive area will provide optimum bond to pack without limiting potential for a single layer label to be printed with multi-colour text and graphics onto the reverse face. Utilising Sessions' GlueZone process this limitation is now a thing of the past. GlueZone puts the customer in complete control of the adhesive location - elevating the single layer pressure sensitive label to a two sided data sheet. Applying patterned adhesive after twin face printing and combining with profile cutting and interior perforations, GlueZone provided the added advantage of flip-up or removable tabs which can accommodate additional text and graphics for promotional or legal requirements. With the option of different coat weights of adhesive on the same label, GlueZone provides for the addition of a low-tack 'lift-here' tab and, where specified, labels can include creases and perforations to form packets of pouches. Suitable for a wide variety of substrates, including paper, board, foils and films, GlueZone provides added flexibility to pack design. The innovative labels are supplied on the reel for semi and fully automatic labelling, or in sheets for hand application. |
