With galleries and retailers asking for post cards of her popular work, well-known painter and printmaker, Deirdre Borlase turned to Sessions of York. Using the latest Direct Imaging (DI) technology, the company’s Commercial Print Division was quickly able to produce a set of six cards featuring high quality reproductions of some of the artists distinctive watercolours and collages.

Deirdre Borlase explains: “Artists have a problem buying relatively small quantities of their work in postcard form. Sessions downloads digitised images directly to its new DI press and within 10 minutes the machine laser etches four printing plates while they are mounted on the press. A computer automatically adjusts all ink settings and, at the touch of a button, high quality Offset Litho prints are available.
