Sessions go Green with Biodegradable "Bio Tags"
At the end of their use, commercial plant growers needed to be able to dispose of their plant tags straight into the ground, without harming the planet. Sessions were able to help and came up with a 100% biodegradable tag!
The tag can be overprinted and then pushed into the soil as a conventional plant tag. When the plant has grown, the biodegradable pot can be sent to composting along with the Sessions Bio Tag, where it will biodegrade in just 45 days in a commercial composting environment. The Sessions Bio Tags are in reel form and can be overprinted through thermal transfer printer.

Special aerosol testing and labelling machines for a large pharmaceutical company based in Mexico
Sessions of York Machine Division has designed and built one of their special aerosol testing and labelling machines for a large pharmaceutical company based in Mexico. This follows on from their successful installation of a similar machine in Iran.

This unique machine is designed to test and label aerosol canisters which contain a medicinal drug for patients suffering from asthmatic conditions. After check weighing for content, the machine function-tests the aerosol valves to ensure their perfect operation and spray duration. After this the canisters pass into the print & apply labelling station where the labels are thermally transfer printed and applied around the aerosols. Print details are checked with a sophisticated camera system and any canisters failing any of the tests are ejected from the line. Finally all perfect canisters are automatically inserted into the plastic activating dispenser at which point they are ready for packing for dispatch.
